About: How to Join

Should you be interested in joining, please consult the introduction. If you feel confident to fulfill our criteria, please contact us.

Once you are accepted as an member of THE ARTS CIRCLE, we need you to provide us with some information about you and your site:

  • a short description of who you are,
  • the title, a short description and the web address of your site,
  • two to four items of your artwork (images resp. text) for display at this site (you retain the copyright of course).

The result would then appear in the sites section, constituting a showcase and short portrait of your work.

On your site, we'd like you to include a small logo somewhere at the bottom of any (or all) of your web pages, whatever you feel more comfortable with. The logo should not be hidden but displayed in a way that makes your visitors aware of your affiliation with THE ARTS CIRCLE.

There are two logos available, both with a transparent background, one with a black font

with the source code being something like

<div align=center><a href="http://www.THE ARTS CIRCLE">
<img src="IMAGEDIR/tac_logo_bwtr.gif" width=136 height=23 border=0 title="THE ARTS CIRCLE">
</a></div>

... and one with a white font:

with the source code being something like

<div align=center><a href="http://www.THE ARTS CIRCLE">
<img src="IMAGEDIR/tac_logo_wbtr.gif" width=136 height=23 border=0 title="THE ARTS CIRCLE">
</a></div>

You need to save the image file to your disk and upload it to your image directory on your web site server. Copy and paste the source code into your site, replacing "IMAGEDIR" with the name of your respective image directory. You may modify the source code to fit your needs, but please don't alter the image file. Should you encounter any problems, we're happy to assist you with that - just drop us a line.

Once all is done, you'll be a full member of THE ARTS CIRCLE. This is not just a simple web ring, it is supposed to be an active community. Art cannot exist in a vacant space and without communication, that's the idea behind the entire project. So we invite you to participate as much as you feel comfortable.
